Controller test

Six short steps, about a minute. We check the sticks for drift, how far they reach, every button, the triggers and the vibration — and at the end we tell you what exactly is wrong and what it takes to fix it. All of it happens in your browser: nothing is sent to a server and nothing is installed.

Step 1 of 6
1
Waiting for a controller…
Connect the controller, then press any button on it.
  1. Connect the controller — over a USB cable (most reliable) or over Bluetooth.
  2. Press any button on it — ✕ or PS, for example. The browser only “sees” the controller after that first press, which is why it says no controller is connected until then.

What the results mean

How to read the test

Drift at rest

How far the stick wanders while you are not touching it. Under 2% is normal. Over 5% means your character or your aim will start moving on its own — that is the classic drift, and it is usually solved by replacing the analog stick.

Range reached

Shows whether the stick reaches the edge in every direction when you rotate it in a circle. Below 90% means some directions never receive full movement — the cause is a worn stick or a calibration that has shifted. If the stick is mechanically sound, or has just been replaced, calibrating the centre and the range can bring the full movement back.

Buttons and triggers

A button that lights up without being pressed is stuck. A trigger that does not reach 100%, or does not return to 0%, has a worn sensor or dirt inside — both are dealt with in the shop.

Why the test is accurate

We read the values the controller sends to the browser directly — the same ones the console receives. That is why the result shows the real state of the hardware and not how it feels in one particular game.
