Types of PS4 / PS5 repairs
Console won't turn on
If your PlayStation doesn't respond when you try to turn it on, the likely cause is a faulty power supply or a problem on the main board. Our shop performs diagnostics and repair for all models.
HDMI port replacement
If the console turns on normally but there's no picture on the TV, the HDMI port is probably faulty. A common fault from mechanical impacts or repeated plugging/unplugging of the cable.
- No picture, but the console powers on
- Bent or missing pins in the HDMI port
- Frequent signal dropouts to the TV
USB port replacement
With a faulty USB port the controller won't charge or the cable doesn't sit firmly.
- The controller won't charge or connect
- The USB cable doesn't fit properly or wobbles
- Damaged or bent pins in the port
Hard drive (HDD) replacement on PS4
If your PS4 won't turn on, shows startup errors or games freeze, the cause may be a damaged or worn hard drive with bad sectors.
- PS4 won't boot or shows a black screen
- Startup error messages
- Slow loading of menus and apps
- Games freeze or quit unexpectedly
Fan replacement
Loud noise, excessive heating or shutting off during play may mean a faulty fan. An important cooling component — a fault can lead to overheating of the whole system.
- Loud noise or vibrations from the console
- Excessive heating even with light games
- Automatic shutdown during long sessions
Disc drive repair
If your PlayStation 4 or 5 won't accept a disc, makes an unusual noise or doesn't recognise the media, it's probably a problem with the optical drive — a faulty loading mechanism or a worn laser head.
Overheating and cooling
If the console overheats, is very loud or shuts off during play, we recommend maintenance — dust cleaning and a thermal paste / liquid metal change for significantly better cooling.
